A Chat with… Alice (Centre Coordinator)
Alice has worked with Link Spaces since the time it opened in 2024. She has ample customer service and hospitality for many years with roles in Children’s Entertainment at Legoland Windsor Resort and as a Guest Services Team leader at TopGolf.
Her passion lies in creative fields with degrees in Drama, and Shakespeare, and taking control of the Link Spaces social media pages and any of the creative projects we have, such as the Link Spaces magazine itself!

Tell us a bit about your role.
I am one of the centre coordinators here at Link Spaces, working alongside Magda. I am also in charge of the social media presence and I create the newsletter that we have lying about the space. I handle a lot of the creative and community side of Link including creating the events that our space holds and any of the fun things that appear (Mr Bones, he was my idea…)
Of course, I do also handle phone calls, and enquiries that come through to reception and assist Magda with keeping the place running smoothly.
What do you enjoy most about working at Botanica?
The whole vibe of the building. The community aspect that we have created within Link Spaces as well as in the building, the events and giveaways, the lovely outside space and the on-site gym, it all makes for a really nice work environment. I am a big advocate for having fun and enjoying your work, whether that’s the job you do or the place you work, after all we spend so much of our lives at work, why can’t we enjoy it?
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
“Sometimes imperfection can be perfection”
If you could have dinner with any three people (living or dead) who would they be and why?
William Shakespeare – I have a degree in Shakespeare so I would 100% love to meet him.
Valterri Bottas – Probably mullet era Bottas though. I think he is such a vibe and would be a chill but entertaining dinner guest
Dan Smith, from Bastille – a modern day wordsmith and a genuine, humble individual, I would love to just sit and talk to him.
What is your proudest achievement so far either in life or at work?
Obtaining my degrees is one of the proudest things I have achieved for sure. As a child who struggled a lot with confidence and was very introverted, the fact that I have two degrees, both in creative and outgoing subjects, is a massive win for me – something my friends like to tease me about.
If you weren’t doing your current role, what would you be doing?
I would either be a football team mascot (if you’ve ever seen me annoying Magda on the front desk, you probably understand why) or be running Shakespeare workshops in Primary schools as I firmly believe that Shakespeare should be taught at a young age in a passionate and engaging way to make it less scary and more understandable in later life.
Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years time?
I’ll be honest, I really don’t know. Every time I have planned something or strived towards a goal, something else has popped up and taken me down a different path. I try to live more in the moment, going with the flow of the universe and following signs that it gives me. I would like to say in a happy and loving relationship, with a creative job that I enjoy, and a feeling that all the battles were worth it, but who knows!
